We are there, where you face complex challenges in tunnel construction

Throughout the world, mechanized tunnelling is driving the safe and cost-effective creation of key infrastructures. For the initial lining of the bored tubes, concrete segments weighing several tonnes and produced in precision moulds are required. Optimized production of thousands of segments is an integral part of an efficient tunnel jobsite.

Herrenknecht Formwork has a high density of first-class project references worldwide. Tailored and integrated solutions – developed in cooperation with the customer – support smooth segment production. Moulds, equipment, services and know-how – everything from a single source if required.

Albvorlandtunnel - Germany

For the lining of the 8,176 m long twin tube tunnel between Wendlingen and Kirchheim unter Teck (part of the railway project Stuttgart – Ulm) the construction company Implenia produces 60,000 concrete segments.
