Farewell after nearly 37 years: Thank you, Andreas Mäusebach!

For almost 37 years, Andreas Mäusebach has been part of the Herrenknecht success story. As he now steps into retirement, the long-standing Formwork team member leaves behind a legacy of commitment, expertise, and customer dedication that will be difficult to replace.

A new beginning just before German reunification

In the fall of 1989, Andreas traveled from Erfurt to Lahr on a train that had departed from Prague—just one day before the opening of the inner-German border. While some fellow travelers left the train in Bruchsal, Andreas continued on to Lahr, where a fortunate coincidence brought him to Herrenknecht.
"I immediately felt that this was the right place for me," Andreas recalled during his retirement ceremony. It was a decision he never regretted, even though, like any long professional career, it came with both challenges and successes.

Experience that leaves a lasting impact

After moving into the segment mould business, Andreas became involved in numerous pioneering projects. Among the projects that remain especially memorable to him and his colleagues is the Westerschelde Tunnel in the Netherlands. For the formwork business, it was one of the first major challenges from which valuable insights were gained for the future. Andreas was right in the middle of it, contributing to the project's success through his expertise, commitment, and hands-on approach.

For the last 20 years of his career, Andreas was part of Herrenknecht Formwork. During that time, he became a trusted and respected figure not only among colleagues, but also among customers and business partners. One customer summed it up perfectly by specifically asking for the "Big Man from Germany."

His long-time colleague Jürgen Roth describes Andreas this way: "Andreas never leaves a customer behind. He doesn't call it a day until everything works the way it should. At the same time, he always stands his ground and knows exactly what matters." Sebastian Bold, Technical Director at Herrenknecht Formwork, also highlights Andreas' reliability, expertise, and dedication.

Thank you for nearly for decades of dedication

Anyone who knows Andreas understands that his experiences on construction sites around the world could probably fill an entire book of stories and anecdotes.
Today, we would simply like to say thank you. Through his exceptional commitment, loyalty, and expertise, Andreas has helped shape Herrenknecht for almost 37 years. The gap he leaves behind will not be easy to fill.
All the more reason for us to be grateful that this is not a complete farewell: Andreas will continue to support us in a reduced capacity, sharing his experience and knowledge with the next generation.

Dear Andreas, we wish you all the best, good health, and many happy moments in this new chapter of your life.
